Enrollment Requirements

Below are the University requirements to be full time status. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need clarification 

PRE-COMPREHENSIVE EXAM 

Fall/Spring Assistantship
Enroll in minimum of 3 credits, maximum of 9

Summer Assistantship
Enroll in minimum of 3 credits, maximum of 5

Summer Hourly
Enrollment is not required, as long as you enroll in the following Fall semester. Many people choose this option as it is a bit less expensive. Your health benefits will remain intact through the summer.

Fall/Spring/Summer Fellowship
Enrollment depends on the requirement of the fellowship. However, in order to be considered a full time student, a student should be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits 

 

POST-COMPREHENSIVE EXAM 

Fall/Spring Assistantship
Enroll in minimum of 1 credits, maximum of 9

Summer Non-Fringe Assistantship
Enroll in 1 credit only. Your PI will NOT be charged for your fringes. This is the best summer option for post comp students

Summer Assistantship
Enroll in minimum of 1 credits, maximum of 5

Summer Hourly
Enrollment is not required, as long as you enroll in the following Fall semester. Your health benefits will remain intact through the summer.
